Micheline Perreault WAH Spotlight September 2014

My name is Micheline and I am a true small town gal from Canada EH :) I've found my passion and joy in recycling and re-purposing old items and such into new-to-you items for your home. I'm a busy mom of 2 boys and happily married to my wonderful hubby for 17 years. Without his help and encouragement I would not be able to complete most of my projects. I am employed as a Educational Assistant at a local school as well, so I'm mom to many!!! I've been creating and painting since I can remember.

My full time career keeps me busy so this is on the fly on weekends, vacation time and or evenings when I am not too tired. It is a passion I love to share with others, my ideas and DIY tips. Being at home in the summer gives me plenty of opportunity to work on projects in my home, garage and outdoors. :) I have a passion for outside. Winter months make it difficult to work, as I use the great indoors ahhhhhhhhh; the livingroom, the dining room, the hall; heck, where ever there is room, I shall lay down a painting tarp and get into the groove!!!

I'm into the delicate yet shabbiness of  the SHABBY CHIC look. I've chosen to recycle items and give them new life by repainting them with new colors and adding a touch of stenciling for that dramatic look. I enjoy painting rooms as in walls, cabinets and larger furniture pieces and watching how they transform. I enjoy searching for tips on DIY and also re-creating the look of an aged antique in a neat new vibrant color or simply all white for the Shabby Effect.

I would like for people to know that anything can be painted and given a new life. It takes courage to step out of your comfort zone so do start small and work your way up as I have. I am in my 40's and never thought of creating a business from home before as such. I've always just made items for gifts or done my own thing, but with lots of encouragement from family and friends I've started my own abode... Mich's Clutter to Treasures <3

I do not have a team as I am small at the moment. I welcome everyone to come on over and visit my page on Facebook and stay a while. I promise to not disappoint you. Once a passion always a passion. I feel at my best when covered in dirty paint clothes and brush in hand :)

Hi! My name is Lora and I live in Missouri with my husband and 6 furkids, Olivia, Sophia, Grace, Tia, Tucker and Franki. I live in a very rural area in a very old farmhouse on 7 acres. I love walking down to the river and having a picnic and fishing with my husband. I am also an avid crafter and run several charity groups that help those less fortunate in the United States.

About 5 years ago, I lost my job. I had always wanted to work from home and so I figured that I would jump in with both feet and just give it a go. I tried many businesses and it seemed as though nothing worked for me.

I had always loved photography and when my husband bought me a Canon Rebel T3 for my birthday last year, I was in love. Prior to "going digital" I had only shot with film. And while I loved it, my digital quickly became my favorite. I love taking off and "getting lost" and just capturing beautiful images. I love old barns, cemeteries and old buildings. I sell my photography on Fine Art America. You can see a gallery of my work there.

SoyL Scents

Another love of mine is home fragrance! I love my house smelling wonderful so I recently joined SoyL Scents as a rep. I was attracted to the opportunity because it was free. Free to join, free website, amazing training, a fantastic product with a ring in every candle or gem! They have candles, handmade soaps, room sprays and MORE. I'm always looking for team members and if you join my team, you will have access to our yahoo group and will receive 100% support from me. I will work with you where you are. Hobbyist? Serious Business Builder? Whatever it is that you need from me, I will do my best to provide it.

Melanie Hinds February 2014 WAH Spotlight

Melanie Hinds

My name is Melanie. I am currently a work from home wife with two companies (Gold Canyon and Younique). I am also a mother to four hairy children (2 dogs and 2 cats). My husband and I are very excited about starting a family and we will be starting IVF this spring! Before I started working from home, I graduated and earned my certificate as a Basic EMT & Hazmat First Responder.  I had worked as a Head Medical Assistant and in-office Surgical Assistant for two large medical practices over a span of 8 years before I was let go from my job. I started actively working from home in direct sales for the next 7 years. During that time, I had also served as a Treasurer, Vice President and President of the Direct Selling Women's Alliance (DSWA) of Michigan ~ Metro East Chapter. I have since then taught many business building workshops in many different networking groups and have been a featured as a guest motivational speaker at our Gold Canyon National Convention. 

I love the independence and freedom of working from home because I love being my own boss! I can make my own schedule and work around my family life and help uplift and inspire others as well. I love meeting new people and have developed some amazing friendships along the way.

I am with two main companies now. I joined Gold Canyon after I was first a customer and a hostess. I fell in love with the company and their mission. I love that Gold Canyon is a member of the DSA (Direct Selling Association) as well as a member of the National Candle Association. We offer over 100 fragrances with cool-burning wax, double safety wicks, long burn times and strong fragrance throw. I love that our candles are made in the USA right in our factory in Chandler, Arizona. Our company started in 1997 with just one fragrance (Fresh Orange) and now offer traditional candles as well as many wickless options such as warmers with timers. I am also a Presenter with Younique. This company offers women high quality, naturally based cosmetics, and skin care products. One of our most popular product features is our Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes (which was the first product that I tried and I fell in love).

I am an active person, I love meeting new people; motivating and inspiring others along the way. I have a love for gardening and the great outdoors. Which makes me a bit of a tomboy, however, I can be a huge girly girl too! I love art (drawing and painting) and have won several awards over the years for my work. I have many hobbies and I've always been a crafty person and love to try new things.

With both of my businesses (Gold Canyon and Younique), we have FUN! That's so important that you can connect with the company, network with other team members and have the support you need to help you succeed.
